I don’t really agree with the term “guilty pleasure.” It assumes that there should be some shame associated with something that you like. That said, I will go with the debut single from Ms. Spears. A perfectly catchy pop song, and there should be no shame in admitting that.

Hate is such a strong word, but I think it may have been warranted in this case. The “Christian” band that abandoned their faith to become a second rate Pearl Jam rip off before finally imploding during a concert at the former Rosemont Horizon.
I guess Garbage would take the top spot in my list of favorite bands. In addition to every studio album, I also have a bootleg from each tour. I’ve seen them live 3 times, most recently in May of 2005 at the Metro. I watched season 2 of The Sarah Connor Chronicles simply because Shirley Manson was a recurring guest star. Do I need anymore justification?
By the way, the band has gotten back together and are currently in the studio recording new tracks.
Why has it been nearly three months between days 9 and 10 of this challenge? Because I’ve been trying to think of an answer. Music doesn’t make me fall asleep. Just the opposite, in fact. So, in honor of yesterday’s homecoming victory over the Fighting Illini, I present Hail Purdue, as performed by the All-American Marching Band. A song which most definately does not put me to sleep.
As I wait for tomorrow’s delivery of my new iPhone 4S, it is time to say goodbye to the 3G that has been my trusty companion for nearly the past 3 1/2 years. We’ve traveled the world together (well, at least Canada and the UK) and have listened to a lot of music. So I may be unduly influenced by recent concert attendance, but how can you argue with 14 weeks atop the Billboard album charts during the magical summer of 1964. It was so good, one of the song titles went on to be used for its own movie.
