Another so-so week, with only 3 days over the magical 5000 step mark. You would think Sunday would have been higher, what with the trip to US Cellular Field and all. The work week showed some promise, with Monday and Thursday being the best days. Saturday was limited to a trip to the grocery store followed up by some little league action for Danny and Michael.
Today will be my 15th Opening Day for the White Sox, and my 12th in a row. The first was in 1985, a blowout win against the Red Sox in rookie shortstop Ozzie Guillen’s first game in Chicago. Other highlights include the 2005 1-0 victory against the Indians and the raising of the championship banner on Sunday Night Baseball in 2006.
Joining me for today’s game will be my niece and nephews. A certain mascot should be stopping by sometime during the game to wish Michael a happy birthday. Hopefully the weather holds out and the White Sox uphold their end of the bargain.

February belongs to Michael, seen here watching one of Danny’s little league games. It was a little chilly that day, but he needed to be bundled up beyond what would be considered normal.

Every year, I get a calendar made for Christmas for my sister, my mom, and my dad of picture I’ve taken of my niece and nephews throughout the year. Next year, I will be sharing the photo I picked for the calendar on the first day of each month. This is the cover, taken during a fourth of July miniature golf outing.
The three things I am most thankful for this year.
A pretty decent week that got off to a slow start thanks to Danny’s birthday party. The weather has started to turn, so it will be tougher to get up and about without getting to the gym. Next week’s Thanksgiving vacation means this weeks results will be postponed until the following week.
