Another week with 4 days over the 5000 step mark. Monday included a trip to the local junior high for Angelina’s final band concert. Wednesday included some time outside meandering around the house with a ball and glove. Saturday included two baseball games, one Danny’s and one professional, and a trip to, of all places, church for Michael’s communion.

GFY2 – Week 28
A pretty decent week overall, thanks mainly to the new cafeteria in North Plaza and trips over on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Thursday got its traditional boost thanks to bowling. Saturday even got more than the usual action thanks to a skating competition for Angelina.

As promised, we kick off the month with the corresponding picture from the calendar I made for family memebers for Christmas. January’s picture features Angelina celebrating New Year’s Day exactly one year ago today.
2013 Calendar
Just as in years past, I had a calendar made for Christmas for my sister, my mom, and my dad of pictures I’ve taken of my niece and nephews throughout the year. This year’s calendar is a little more creative, thanks to the good folks at Shutterfly. Not only did it allow for multiple images per month in different designs, it also let you put pictures on particular days, so everyone gets a specialized birthday photo.
Continuing last year’s tradition, I will share the photo (or photos) that I used for each month in the caldendar on the first day of that month along with some background on the picture, starting today with the two pictures that I used on the cover. The first picture above was taken at the Metra stop on 35th Street following the White Sox home opener where we celebrated Michael’s birthday with a visit from Southpaw. The second picture below was taken at my sister’s house on Christmas Eve 2011.

Angelina’s Birthday Month
It is Angelina’s birthday month, so she gets her final turn this month. This picture is from last year’s homecoming game between Purdue and Illinois at Ross-Ade Stadium, 5 days before her birthday. It also has the distinction of being the first picture from my phone to make it into the calendar.

Not one, but two pictures of my day, at least my weekdays. The first is my desk, with my computer monitor and the different Purdue and White Sox knick-knacks that adorn the wall of my cube. The second picture is my shelf and cube wall, with more knick-knacks and pictures of Angelina, Danny, and Michael.
Sit Back Cause It’s Summertime
6 months down, 6 to go. July brings us Angelina from last summer’s Grinder Bash. She’s sitting the blue seat where Scott Podsednik’s game winning home run landed in game 2 of the 2005 World Series, one of only two blue seats remaining at US Cellular Field.

Angelina returns for May, with another shot from the museum trip last January.
