2013 Tickets – Northside Edition

Say what you will about the Cubs play on the field in recent years, but their season ticket packaging has been superb for the last few years, and their winning streak continues this year.  First is the box itself, which contains all of the goodies.

Cubs-boxA nice old-timey feel that doesn’t give away the awesomeness inside.  First, just like last year, the team tried to save a few shekels on credit card fees by bribing encouraging people to pay by check.  This year’s enticement was an autographed baseball by first baseman Anthony Rizzo.

Rizzo-ballBut wait, there’s more!  Last year’s package included a personalized lucite Wrigley Field marquee.  This year they moved to the outfield, with a personalized “W” flag.

Personalized-W-FlagAlso included was a full 82 card set of re-imagined Topps cards featuring current and former Cub players in card designs from different eras.  The cards are going to be giveaways this season and it is nice to not have to worry about trying to track them all down.

CardSetThe tickets themselves once again feature a baseball card design, but use the cards from the above set instead of the actual Topps cards used last year.

13CubTix-2As if that was not enough, there is also a season ticket holder ID card that is apparently worth a discount on merchandise, a Cubs Season Ticket Holder window sticker, and a pack of Wrigley’s Doublemint gum.  Another home run for the Cubs.  Now, if only they could replicate this success on the field.
