Looking Forward To Next Year

MLB: Cincinnati Reds at Los Angeles DodgersMajor League Baseball released their tentative 2015 schedule earlier this week and, with little more to be concerned with for this season, let’s take a look at what’s on tap for next summer for the South Siders.

The White Sox open the season on the road against the Royals on Monday, April 6.  The home season begins that Friday, when the Twins come to town for a 3 game set.

This year’s inter-league slate is against the NL Central, with the Reds, Pirates, Cubs, and Cardinals making trips to US Cellular Field, while the Sox hit the road to visit the Brewers, Pirates, Cardinals, and Cubs.

The White Sox finish the season at home against the Royals and Tigers, which would make for a great pennant race should the team be in contention.

GF4 – Week 8

Y4Week8Overall, a pretty good week, though somewhat disappointing days on Wednesday and Thursday and a downright disappointing day on Saturday.  Nothing out of the ordinary during the work week, with Friday’s total helped out by some after work strolling around the neighborhood.  Saturday and Sunday included trips to US Cellular Field, although Sunday’s trip worked out much better both game wise and step wise.

Total steps: 44,312

Daily average: 6330.3

GlobalFit III: Week 51

Y3Week51Another pretty good week, with my highest total since heading to San Diego back in April, with the entire work week surpassing 6000 steps and 3 of the days above 8500.  Nothing too far outside the norm until Friday, where a trip to US Cellular Field for Grinder Bash pushed my total well above 12,000.  Saturday was disappointing only in that I finished a scant 48 steps below the 5000 step mark despite a trip to the mall and a bowling outing.  Sunday, while well below my goal of 5000 steps, did manage to have more than the negligible amount I have been getting.

GlobalFit III: Week 49

Y3Week49A tremendous work week, with every day above 6000 steps and 2 days checking in over 10,000, followed by another in a long line of lackluster weekends.  The week started off with a bang on Monday, with a 10,000 step day thanks to a conference call that I took while walking around the campus.  The rest of the week was pretty ordinary until Friday, which was Family Day down at Wrigley Field.  My nephews, my sister, and I headed downtown to take a trip to the Bean before heading north for the festivities at the Friendly Confines, including a spirited game of catch in the outfield grass.  Saturday and Sunday both featured trips to US Cellular Field for exciting White Sox baseball, but very little in ways of steps.

GlobalFit III: Week 46

Y3Week46Well, a good week was on the books from Monday through Friday, then the weekend kind of put the kibosh on things.  The work week all came in over the 6000 mark, with Friday coming in closer to 9000 thanks to the trip to Naperville for the Adam Carolla book signing.  Saturday and Sunday both involved trips down to the Cell for exciting baseball, but neither day was spectacular despite taking the ramps both days.

Weekly average: 6030.9

GlobalFit III: Week 44

Y3Week44It was a pretty good week that saw me a mere 600 steps away from a full week of 5000 step days.  Monday got the week off to a good start, with over 7500 steps.  Tuesday, thanks to a trip down to Wrigley Field for some exciting crosstown action, was my first in-state 10,000 step day since July.  Wednesday just squeaked past the 5000 step mark.  Thursday saw some more crosstown action, this time on the other side of town at US Cellular Field.  Friday was another successful day, approaching 7000 steps.  Saturday just missed the 5000 step mark despite another trip to the old ballyard.  Sunday was boosted by a Mother’s Day trip to the zoo for brunch followed by animal watching.
