GlobalFit III: Week 27

Y3Week27This week was supposed to be the first back to work after more than 3 weeks of vacation, but the Polar Vortex had a little something to say about that, plunging temperatures below 0 for over 2 days and keeping me home both Monday and Tuesday.  Wednesday was the day that I finally ventured back to work, and the first day to break 5000 steps in 2014.  Thursday was even slightly better, coming in 4 steps below the 6000 step plateau.  Friday just missed on 5000 steps, and the weekend was surprisingly above their low average.

GlobalFit III: Week 25

Y3Week25The week of Christmas is finally upon us, with only Monday sticking out as a successful day thanks to running around and shopping.  Tuesday was Christmas Eve, which involved a trip to out for dinner with family.  Wednesday, therefore, was Christmas Day, which was spent mostly around the house opening gifts and playing games.  The rest of the week is a bit of a blur at this point.

Total steps: 17,920

Weekly average: 2560

GlobalFit III: Week 24

Y3Week24Another week where most of the data seems to have disappeared.  Which is very disappointing since the two times I actually did go to the gym over the entire vacation were on Monday and Tuesday of this week and neither made it.  It’s almost as if the two week memory promised by the tracker didn’t quite make it this time.  So, other than those two days, I am at a loss as to what I might have done the rest of the week.

GlobalFit III: Mid Year Checkpoint

Y3HalfwayWay back in July, I made a goal of just under 2.25 million steps for the year, giving me an overall total of 5,750,000 steps.  As we reach the halfway point of the year, we are clocking in at nearly 4.43 million steps, leaving me with 1.3 million steps to take in the next 26 weeks in order to meet my goal.  That’s an average of 50,779 steps per week, or just over 7254 steps per day.  Given my output to this point, it doesn’t look good.  That said, it may be time for me to start getting serious about my health, which, if I were to do so, would make this an easy total to achieve.  We shall see.

GlobalFit III: Week 23

Ah, we return to early December, which runs us into a bit of a problem.  For reasons I don’t entirely understand, the totals for parts of Thursday and all of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday were lost.  For the earlier part of the week, my last before going on vacation for the remainder of the year, the highlight was Wednesday, which included a trip to the Glen and Von Maur to but gifts for co-workers.  Thursday was the holiday party at GameWorks, followed by a trip to the movie theater.  Friday would have included a nice trip to the mall, while the weekend would have included snowblowing and a trip to Michael’s swim meet.

Total steps: 26,424

Weekly average: 3774.9

GlobalFit III: Week 22.5

Y3Week22plusWhile I’ve been away on this long Christmas vacation, the good folks at GlobalFit have revamped their Destination You website.  In addition to new graphics, the main change that would affect our weekly looks at my activity is the move from a Sunday through Saturday week to a Monday through Sunday.  Which means that when we finally take a look at Week 23 once I go back to work in January, we will have lost track of one day, Sunday December 8.  So, since it wouldn’t count if it wasn’t listed on this site, here are my pathetic steps for that one day.  1,244 total steps, the majority of which came in the 3 and 4 o’clock hours, thanks to Danny’s basketball game.

GlobalFit III: Week 20

Y3Week20Another topsy turvey week, with 4 days above 5000 but the other 3 well below.  Things started off slowly on Sunday, where the big movement of the day was going down in the basement to avoid the impending tornadoes.  The good days during the work week were helped out due to trips to North Plaza for Starbucks, in an effort to move up to Gold level on the Starbucks app.
