GFY2 – Week 19

Another in a string of disappointing weeks.  Tuesday and Wednesday were spent in the Energy For Life class, which did at least end up with one day over 5000 steps.  Thursday had a night of unscheduled bowling, which also pushed me over the 5000 steps mark.  Days off and weekends continue to be a problem, although Saturday did pick up a bit.  Hopefully, with a week’s vacation, the next week will be better.

Energy For Life

Last week, I participated in an Energy For Life class at work, which is geared towards ways to change your life in order to have more energy to accomplish the goals you have in life.  Prior to the class, there was a 360 degree Energy Profile survey that we had to both fill out ourselves and send to others to fill out.

My self-evaluation was not pretty.  I showed up as “seriously disengaged” in all categories, which, according to the report, means that such a “level of disengagement not only significantly undermines your ability to fully ignite your talent and skill, but also prompts disengagement in others. When levels of disengagement such as this persist over time, your health, happiness and productivity can be seriously compromised.”  Thankfully, others saw me in a better light.
