salliemaeBack in May of 2012, I figured out that I had exactly 9 years of student loan payments remaining before my college education would be paid off.  That would be under 7 years now, but I decided to go ahead and pay the whole thing off, freeing myself from the shackles of debt.  I guess this is what being a grown up feels like.

I will finally finish paying for my undergrad degree, a full 24 years after I graduated.  Hurray.

At least I still get a deduction on my taxes for the interest.  Oh wait, no I don’t.
