2024 New Fall Season – Tuesdays

Continuing our look at the new fall season, here are the offerings that I may find myself interested in for Tuesdays.

7:00

Murder in a Small Town – A Canadian mystery-drama featuring old favorites Kristin Kreuk and Stana Katic.

9:00

High Potential – Created by Drew Goddard and based on a French series, it stars Kaitlin Olson as an under-employed genius who consults with the police.

2024 New Fall Season – Mondays

We continue our annual look at the new fall season with Monday night’s offerings, a night that hasn’t offered something even halfway intriguing since 2018.

7:00

Scrabble – Another attempt to turn the venerable board game into a game show, this time starring Raven-Symoné.

7:30

Poppa’s House – Damon Wayans and Damon Wayans Jr. team up on a new family comedy.

8:00

Rescue: HI-Surf – A lifeguard drama set in Hawaii from one of the producers of ER and starring Arielle Kebbel seems worth a shot, at least.

Trivial Pursuit – A new game show, hosted by LeVar Burton, based on the classic board game.

T Minus 2

Following last night’s loss to the Padres, the White Sox now have 118 loses. just two away from the modern record set by the expansion Mets in 1962.  They would have to go 7-1 over their remaining eight games to avoid tying the record.  They have won seven games since August 16.

FB10: Week 34

A bad, bad week.  Things started poorly on Sunday, as I needed 19 more steps just to reach 2800.  Monday saw a decent improvement as I rose up to 3700 steps.  Tuesday fell back down again, dropping to 2500 steps.  Another improvement on Wednesday left me just 8 steps shy of 3700.  Thursday saw another increase, leaving me a single step away from 4500.  A trip to the ballpark after work on Friday led to the week’s best day, finishing with 5300 steps.  The week wrapped up with its lowest day on Saturday, as I fell down to 2400 steps.

Total steps: 24,945

Daily average: 3563.6

T Minus 3

Following yesterday afternoon’s loss to the Angels, the White Sox now have 117 loses. just three away from the modern record set by the expansion Mets in 1962.  They would have to go 7-2 over their remaining nine games to avoid tying the record.  They have won seven games since August 16.

Book 41 (of 52) – Mr. Monk Goes To The Firehouse

Mr. Monk Goes To The Firehouse – Lee Goldberg

While Monk is staying with Natalie while his house is being fumigated, he is hired by Julie to find out who killed the dog at the local firehouse.  HIs investigation leads him to two other, human murders and determines the same man is behind all three.  The only problem is going to be finding the evidence to prove it.

Monk was a dramedy that ran for eight seasons on the USA Network from 2002 to 2009.  Starting in 2006, series writer Lee Goldberg started a series of original novels based on the show.  Mr. Monk Goes to the Firehouse is the first entry in that series.  Told from the perspective of Natalie, the book stayed close to feel of the show, but still felt just a little off.  There are 18 more books in the series, so hopefully that starts to gel more as it goes forward.

T Minus 4

Following last night’s loss to the Angels, the White Sox now have 116 loses. just four away from the modern record set by the expansion Mets in 1962.  This was the 19th time they’ve been shut out this season.  They would have to go 7-3 over their remaining ten games to avoid tying the record.  They have won seven games since August 16.
