Jeff Marquez was acquired by the White Sox after the 2008 season along with Wilson Betemit and Jhonny Nunez in the deal the sent Nick Swisher packing to the Yankees. He made his major league debut on July 9, 2010 against the Royals, giving up 2 runs in 1 inning of work. After that game, he was quickly returned to the minor leagues, and thus ended his White Sox career. In June of 2011, he was claimed off of waivers by the Yankees.
