On May 14, 2017, FOX renewed New Girl for an abbreviated seventh and final season.  One year and one day later, the series finale aired, wrapping up the story of Jessica Day and her crazy roommates after a three year jump.

While it was certainly time for the show to end, I will miss the whimsy that Zooey Deschanel and friends brought to the small screen every week.
