You Ought To Be In (11) Pictures

Movie_Reel_22Many years ago, using the weekly TV guide that came with the Sunday Chicago Tribune, I started keeping track of all of the movies I had seen over the course of my lifetime.  The guide would list the two main stars for each movie, and that is a tradition that I’ve carried on in my database ever since.  So, given those guidelines, it is time to look at all of the actors that have starred in at least 10 films that I have seen, as of July 1st.

Today, we continue with the 10 actors that have starred in 11 movies that I have seen, down 1 from the number at this level 3 years ago.

Jim Carrey

There has been no change for Carrey since I last encountered him back in 2009, when I saw the previous year’s Yes Man.

Woody Harrelson

No starring roles for Woody Harrelson on my screen since 2011, when I watched 2009’s Defendor.

Katherine Heigl

The one-time romantic comedy sweetheart has seen her movie career falter, which is part of why I haven’t seen her in anything since 2011.

Helen Hunt

2006 remains the last time I saw a starring role from Helen Hunt.

Julianne Moore

Julianne Moore first showed up on my screen in 1996, thanks to the previous year’s Nine Months.  She was helped by 2 movies each in 2003, 2011, and 2014, when I last saw her in either Non-Stop or the remake of Carrie.

Al Pacino

My last Al Pacino film still is 88 Minutes, which I saw way back in 2008.

Ryan Reynolds

Ryan Reynolds first appeared on my movie radar in 2006, when I saw him in both The Amityville Horror and Just Friends.  That started a streak of 5 films in 4 years, with another two-some in 2011 and again this year, where I’ve seen him in both Self/less and Definitely, Maybe.

Paul Rudd

1998’s The Object Of My Affection was my first exposure (in a starring role) to Paul Rudd.  He then put together a 5 films in 4 years from 2008-2011 and, after taking a year off, had another 4 in 3 years, culminating with Ant-Man and This Is 40 in 2015, the last of his films that I’ve seen.

Wesley Snipes

Thanks, in part, to his stint in prison for failure to pay taxes, 2005 remains the last time I saw a Wesley Snipes film.

Kiefer Sutherland

2009 remains the last time I saw Kiefer Sutherland outside of a television role.
