Rod Bolton was selected by the White Sox in the 13th round of the 1990 draft and made his major league debut a mere 3 years later. That’s about where the good news ends, as Bolton was horrible and quickly sent back to the minor leagues.
He resurfaced in 1995 and was ever worse. After the season, he was mercifully sold to the Fukuoka Daiei Hawks of the Japanese league, signaling the end of his major league career.
