Trying to follow up on the success of The Vampire Diaries, the CW turned to another series of young adult novels in order to find a companion series.  The Secret Circle returned Britt Robertson to the netlet as a young witch who learns of her true heritage following the death of her mother.

While the show wasn’t really bad, it was never really good and there were some episodes where it threatened to go off the rails.  Unfortunately, it wasn’t good enough to stay on the air.
