The first reports of season tickets arriving in the hands of Sox fans across the city came on March 11. They obviously did not ship them all at the same time, as mine finally arrived last Wednesday. Unfortunately, they came after the Cub tickets this year, making the experience something of a let down.
Nothing too exciting about the box this year, with the big difference being the orientation switching from landscape to portrait. Unlike their competition to the north, there was nothing inside except the tickets and parking passes themselves.
The tickets come in spiral bound books, which is a change from years past. The nice thing is that for Sunday games, where the 1983 division champions will be honored, the tickets have the old logo and players of that era.
The lack of extras stings a bit now, but the White Sox are usually good about doling them out throughout the year. A free media guide should be coming my way in May, and another gift usually arrives sometime in the second half.
So, there you have it. 27 games of exciting White Sox baseball, all wrapped up into one little box.
