15 years ago today, I started my first job out of college as a mainframe developer. With the assumption that this would be a temporary arrangement, I never bothered to move up north to save myself a long commuto. Obviously it has turned in to a little more than that, and the commute has only gotten worse. Thankfully, I am no longer doing development on the mainframe (or anywhere else for that matter), so there has been some growth, both in technology and job responsibilities.
