2024 Tickets – Southside Edition

This was a much more exciting day back when the White Sox delivered physical tickets for non-premium season ticket holders, but season tickets have been uploaded to the MLB Ballpark app.  While this does make the actual game day use of the tickets more convenient, I can’t help but miss the old days of paper tickets and getting a big, fancy box filled with tickets in the mail.

2022 Tickets – Both Sides Edition

Once again, both the White Sox and the Cubs have eschewed physical tickets for their non-premium season ticket holders, meaning that, once again, this year’s ticket package is nothing more than digital bits on a website or the MLB Ballpark app.  While this does make the actual game day use of the tickets more convenient, it does lose some of the excitement of ticket arrival day and continues to be a disappointment for those of us who collect ticket stubs.  Hopefully the lockout will end in time to actually use some of these.

2021 Tickets – Southside Edition

The White Sox will open to full capacity next weekend and thus have released tickets for the remainder of the season to their season ticket holders.  Once again, the White Sox have decided against physical tickets for non-premium season ticket holders, so this year’s ticket package is nothing more than digital bits on a website or the MLB Ballpark app.  While this does make the actual game day use of the tickets more convenient, it does lose some of the excitement of ticket arrival day.

2020 Tickets – Northside Edition

For the second straight year, the Cubs are going all-digital for their season tickets through the MLB Ballpark app.  No word on whether the team plans to offer commemorative printed tickets after the season, as they did last season.  While the convenience of digital tickets can’t be denied, the move continues to be a disappointment for those of us who collect ticket stubs.

2020 Tickets – Southside Edition

For the fifth consecutive year, the White Sox have decided against physical tickets for non-premium season ticket holders, meaning that, once again, this year’s ticket package is nothing more than digital bits on a website or the MLB Ballpark app.  While this does make the actual game day use of the tickets more convenient, it does lose some of the excitement of ticket arrival day.

2019 Tickets – Northside Edition

Changes are afoot for the Cubs season ticket package this year.  Rather than print physical tickets, the team is moving to all-digital tickets through the MLB Ballpark app, similar to the what the White Sox have done for the past 4 seasons.  Unlike the White Sox, the Cubs are planning to offer commemorative printed tickets after the season, at least according to their announcement last fall.  This is good for those of us who collect ticket stubs, as the Cubs, unlike their neighbors to the south, do not give printouts once you scan in.
