Alpha – Greg Rucka
For his latest work, Greg Rucka breaks away from his two established series, and perhaps manages to start a third, with a compelling tale about a terrorist attack on a Disney-like theme park and the special forces soldier put in place to stop it. Highly recommended to fans of Rucka’s previous works, or for anyone looking for a good, quick read.
Since I haven’t finished a book in a while (although I should get one done soon), I thought I would take a look back at the authors I have read the most. Since I started keeping track, I have read books by 181 different authors, but we will only be looking at those whom I have read more than once.

The Last Run - Greg Rucka
The Last Run is the third novel continuing the Queen & Country story that originated in the Oni Comics series. Tara Chace is a British intelligence officer who does anything and everything for her country, which doesn’t always do the same for her. While previous exposure to the world set up by author and series creator Greg Rucka isn;t needed, it does give you a good background going in to this supposed final adventure for Minder One.
After Tara Chace submits her resignation as Minder One, she is sent on one final mission, to pull an old contact out of Iran. When things don’t go as planned, she needs to find a way out of the country while evading Irani intelligence and staying alive while riddled with bullet holes.
Rucka is one of my favorite authors and this new novel does not disappoint. If this was truly Chace’s last run, it would be a shame.
A likely part of the reason I only made it through 8 books last year was the 119 movies I saw, making it the 5th most prolific year of my life.
Amy Adams, Mila Kunis, and Nicolas Cage each starred in 4 films I saw, tying for the yearly lead. Bruce Willis starred in 2, giving him the all time lead with 27.
