Diamondbacks All Time Leaders – Through 2025

dbacksTo paraphrase from a famous movie, the one constant through all the years has been baseball.  As we head into 2026, we continue our look at the all-time leaders in both offensive and defensive categories for all 30 teams. Today, we take a deeper dive into the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Diamondbacks began life in 1998, joining the league along with the Devil Rays. I’ve seen 152 players donning the Diamondbacks uniform in the 21 games I’ve seen them play live, starting in their inaugural season and most recently this past summer, including the final game of their 2007 sweep of the Cubs in the NLDS.

dbacksWith baseball shut down because of the corona virus, I thought it would be an interesting time to look at the all time leaders in both offensive and defensive categories for all 30 teams. We continue today with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Diamondbacks began life in 1998, joining the league along with the Devil Rays. I’ve seen them play 15 times, starting in their inaugural season and most recently in 2014, including the final game of their 2007 sweep of the Cubs in the NLDS.

dbacksWith 5 months until baseball in Chicago returns, I thought it would be interesting to look at the all time leaders in both offensive and defensive categories for all 30 teams. We continue today with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Diamondbacks began life in 1998, joining the league along with the Devil Rays. I’ve seen them play 15 times, starting in their inaugural season and most recently in 2014, including the final game of their 2007 sweep of the Cubs in the NLDS.

#247 – Alex Cintrón

Years With White Sox: 2006-2007

Looking to bolster their roster in preparation for their first title defense in 88 years, the White Sox acquired Alex Cintrón on March 8, 2006 from the Diamondbacks in exchange for Jeff Bajenaru.  Cintrón split time between the three non-1B infield positions and managed at least 1 AB at every spot in the lineup except for leadoff as he hit .285 in his first season on the south side.

In 2007, Cintrón, like the rest of the White Sox, struggled.  His average dropped 40 points and his playing time decreased.  Following the season, he was released.

#377 – Jeff Bajenaru

Name: Jeff Bajenaru

Rank: 377

Position: P

Years With White Sox: 2004-2005

Jeff Bajenaru appeared in a grand total of 13 games for the White Sox (out of his 14 career appearances), but was lucky enough to make 4 of them in 2005, thus earning himself a World Series ring.  The best thing he ever did for the Sox just may have been following the 2005 season, when he was moved to Arizona for utility infielder Alex Cintron.
