Year With White Sox: 2007
Gustavo Molina signed with the White Sox organization in 2000, where he spent the next 7 seasons working his way up through their system. When backup catcher Toby Hall was injured coming out of spring training in 2007, Molina broke camp with the big league club. He spent a month and a half in the big leagues, managing one hit in only 18 at bats. When Hall returned from the DL, Molina was returned to Charlotte.
At the trading deadline, Molina was placed on waivers and the Orioles decided they were interested in his services.
