Heath Ledger’s star turn as the Joker made The Dark Knight not only one of the best comic book films of all time, but maybe one of the best films of all time. Unfortunately, Ledger did not live to reap the benefits of his performance. Director Christopher Nolan and star Christian Bale have one more Batman film coming out this year, and they will be hard pressed to match their previous effort.
