Jeff Schaefer made his major league debut on April 7, 1989 against the A’s. He appeared in 14 games after that before his White Sox career came to an end. Ironically, his 2 career home runs came against the White Sox at the new Comiskey Park, the first against Greg Hibbard in 1991 and the second the following year against Kirk McCaskill.
After leaving the White Sox, Schaefer made an appearance as “Pirate on Second Base” in Major League II.
