Hoping to capitalize on the sick kids in love trend popularized by The Fault In My Stars, FOX moved forward with Red Band Society, a hospital drama that tried to mix cancer and other diseases with teenage hijinks.  Sadly, the show did not find the success of its inspiration, and was pulled off the schedule in November.

FOX announced in January that the show was officially cancelled and the remaining episodes would be burned off on Saturday nights.  While the show executed well enough, the premise was faulty enough that it was hard to build upon a broken foundation.
