I haven’t seen any of these films yet.\u00a0 If I had to guess, which I guess I do, I would think it will come down to either Birdman<\/em> or Boyhood<\/em>, and I’m going to go with the crew from Birdman<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Another category where\u00a0I have not seen any of the nominated work.\u00a0 I have heard nothing but good things about Whiplash, mostly from Balb Bryan of the Adam Carolla Show, so I will go with that.<\/p>\n

Best Animated Feature<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Big Hero 6<\/em><\/strong>
\nThe Boxtrolls<\/em>
\nHow To Train Your Dragon 2<\/em>
\nSong of the Sea<\/em>
\nThe Tale of the Princess Kaguya<\/em><\/p>\n

Obviously, The Lego Movie<\/em> will take home this prize.\u00a0 Wait, what?\u00a0 It wasn’t nominated?\u00a0 In that case, I’ll take a shot in the dark and say Big Hero 6<\/em> will take home the statue.<\/p>\n

This is a category where movies like Guardians of the Galaxy<\/em> should be recognized, but I don’t feel that the academy is quite there yet.\u00a0 Foxcatcher<\/em> seems like the safe choice.<\/p>\n

My initial choice was going to be The Grand Budapest Hotel<\/em>, but then I figured that Alexandre Desplat fans would end up splitting the vote between his two fils, so I ended up with the recognizable name from Interstellar<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The sentimental choice would be to go with Everything is Awesome<\/em>, giving The Lego Movie<\/em> and Tegan & Sara some recognition.\u00a0 But, given the “outrage” over Selma<\/em>‘s lack of nominations in the top categories, I’m thinking it will win out here.<\/p>\n
