\"Movie_Reel_22\"<\/a>2014 was a bit of an improvement over recent years in\u00a0movie watching for me.\u00a0\u00a0I managed to watch\u00a078 movies last year,\u00a016\u00a0more than 2012 and 2013\u00a0and my\u00a0highest total since 2011, although it was my third consecutive\u00a0year under 100.\u00a0 Again, many things contributed to this, chiefly the insane amount of TV I\u2019ve been watching and the awful amount of time I spend either at work or getting to and from work.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a look back at the first 50 movies I did manage to watch last year and what recollection, if any,\u00a0I have of them. The films are listed in the order I saw them.<\/p>\n

Repeaters (2010)<\/strong>
\nIf Groundhog Day<\/em> took place in a rehab and affected 3 people more messed up than Bill Murray.<\/p>\n

Smashed (2012)<\/strong>
\nI have very little recollection of this film.<\/p>\n

Your Sister’s Sister (2012)<\/strong>
\n2 messed up sisters and a mourning man share tequila and secrets.<\/p>\n

Lovelace (2013)<\/strong>
\nAmanda Seyfried portrays the first lady of porn, Linda Lovelace.<\/p>\n

Columbus Circle (2012)<\/strong>
\nA thriller about a shut-in who witnesses a murder and needs to leave her comfort zone.<\/p>\n

A Good Day To Die Hard (2013)<\/strong>
\nThe latest installment brings Bruce Willis to Russia.<\/p>\n

The Five-Year Engagement (2012)<\/strong>
\nJason Segel and Emily Blunt are engaged forever as life keeps getting in the way of them actually getting married.<\/p>\n

Hell Baby (2013)<\/strong>
\nA comedy about a possessed woman who is about to give birth to Satan’s spawn.<\/p>\n

Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World (2012)<\/strong>
\n2 lost souls find each other as the world is literally coming to an end.<\/p>\n

Would You Rather (2012)<\/strong>
\nA sadistic host tortures his dinner guests for his own pleasure.<\/p>\n

The World’s End (2013)<\/strong>
\nA group of friends tries to finish a pub crawl while aliens attack.<\/p>\n

About Cherry (2012)<\/strong>
\nA young girl finds herself pulled in to the world of porn.<\/p>\n

Admission (2013)<\/strong>
\nTina Fey has to judge the college application of a boy she believes to be the son she put up for adoption years before.<\/p>\n

Bad Girls From Valley High (2005)<\/strong>
\nThe less said about this, the better.<\/p>\n

The Lego Movie (2014)<\/strong>
\nA tale about a young boy’s imagination winning out against his father’s rigid structure.<\/p>\n

Alex Cross (2012)<\/strong>
\nIt turns out that rebooting a series and replacing Morgan Freeman with Tyler Perry may not have been the best idea.<\/p>\n

The Campaign (2012)<\/strong>
\nA simpleton is propped up by lobbyists to run for Congress and to be their puppet.<\/p>\n

White House Down (2013)<\/strong>
\nOne of 2 films that came out in 2013 to feature terrorists attacking the White House.<\/p>\n

Veronica Mars (2014)<\/strong>
\nThanks to a Kickstarter campaign, the former TV show returned for another look at the goings on in Neptune.<\/p>\n

Muppets Most Wanted (2014)<\/strong>
\nThe Muppets return without most of the heart of their last outing.<\/p>\n

Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)<\/strong>
\nThe latest adventure of the first Avenger, which I saw at the Arclight theater in Pasadena.<\/p>\n

In A World\u2026 (2013)<\/strong>

We’re The Millers (2013)<\/strong>

\nDavid Fincher brings Gillian Flynn’s hit novel to life.<\/p>\n

Chastity Bites (2013)<\/strong>
\nA witch who preys on virgins to maintain her immortality shows up at a high school and battles a reporter from the school’s paper.<\/p>\n

Black Rock (2013)<\/strong>
\nA group of women attempting to rekindle their friendship run across some psycho veterans who want to take out their aggressions.<\/p>\n

Excision (2012)<\/strong>
\nA feature length remake of the short film of the same name.<\/p>\n

Carrie (2013)<\/strong>
\nA remake of the horror classic based on Stephen King’s novel.<\/p>\n

Dog Food (2014)<\/strong>
\nA short film about a butcher who loses his dog, but encounters a pair of psychotic vegans.<\/p>\n

Nude Not (2000)<\/strong>
\nA woman moves in to a new house and thinks that her roommates are always naked.<\/p>\n

American Hustle (2013)<\/strong>
\nThe FBI set up a sting to try and bring down the mafia and the politicians in their pockets.<\/p>\n

Vampire Academy (2014)<\/strong>
\nJust as bad as you imagine it is.<\/p>\n

A Different Tree (2014)<\/strong>
\nA short about a young girl who wants to meet her father in order to complete her family tree assignment for school, and ends up sorely disappointed.<\/p>\n

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 (2014)<\/strong>
\nThe first half of the adaptation of the final book in the Hunger Games trilogy.<\/p>\n

The Fault In Our Stars (2014)<\/strong>
\nBased on the book of the same name, a girl with cancer tries to live a normal life and falls in love with a boy with cancer.<\/p>\n
