Since I&#8217;ve far surpassed my &#8220;normal&#8221; reading output the last three years, I thought it would be nice to once again take a deeper dive into those books I&#8217;ve read through the start of October. Since our last check-in, I\u2019ve read an additional 118 books, so there could be some movement over the past two years, but it\u2019s time to take another look and see if my \u201cfavorite\u201d authors have changed much in that time span.\u00a0 We continue today with the two authors I&#8217;ve read seven times, an increase of one since 2021.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_16938\" style=\"width: 194px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/doubleornothing.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-16938\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-16938\" src=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/doubleornothing-184x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"184\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/doubleornothing-184x300.jpg 184w, https:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/doubleornothing.jpg 290w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 184px) 100vw, 184px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-16938\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Double Helix &#8211; Peter David<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>Peter David<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The prolific comic book writer shows up mostly with <em>Star Trek: The Next Generation<\/em> novels that I read in high school.\u00a0 Only two of his works show up from this century, the collection of his <em>But I Digress<\/em> columns from the <em>Comics Buyer&#8217;s Guide<\/em> and yet another Next Gen novel, which I read earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mary Kubica<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The local author, who is a New York Times best seller, moves up two slots and has placed eight entries on my bookshelf over the past eight years starting with <em>The Good Girl<\/em>, which I read in 2015.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Way back in December of\u00a02011 (and again every other December since), we&#8217;ve taken a look at the authors I have read the most, dating back to high school.
