Since our last check-in, I\u2019ve read an additional 60 books from 54 different authors. There shouldn\u2019t be much movement over the past 2 years, but it\u2019s time to take another look and see if my \u201cfavorite\u201d authors have changed much in that time span.\u00a0 We continue today with the two authors I&#8217;ve read 14 times.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jeffery Deaver<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In 1999, the first entry of Deaver&#8217;s Lincoln Rhyme series, <em>The Bone Collector<\/em>, was adapted into a film starring Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie.\u00a0 Around that time, I picked up a paperback copy, which I read in 2000.\u00a0 I slowly added additional titles as I would find them as remainders, picking up new hard covers for $3 or $4.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_9399\" style=\"width: 196px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/28568.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9399\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-9399\" src=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/28568-186x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"186\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/28568-186x300.jpg 186w, https:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/28568.jpg 295w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 186px) 100vw, 186px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-9399\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Vanished Man &#8211; Jeffery Deaver<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Things increased in 2015, when I started picking up titles on deals through the Amazon Kindle store, leading to 10 additional books added to my read bookshelf, with <em>The Cold Moon<\/em> being the most recent prior to the start of this countdown.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stephen King<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I first read King\u2019s work during my freshman year of high school.\u00a0 In fact, I remember reading\u00a0<em>Pet Sematary<\/em>\u00a0after finishing my Biology final at the end of freshman year, waiting for the class to be dismissed.\u00a0 My total reached 9 novels by 1993, but then college and other pursuits got in the way and King fell out of my favor.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1584\" style=\"width: 206px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/116263-king.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1584\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1584\" src=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/116263-king-196x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"196\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/116263-king-196x300.jpg 196w, https:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/116263-king.jpg 336w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 196px) 100vw, 196px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1584\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Stephen King &#8211;
