\"\"<\/a>It’s been 4 years since we last counted down the Top 200 artists in my iTunes library.\u00a0 Since my iTunes stats are still intact, across multiple PCs, iPods, iPads, and iPhones, I figured it was time to take another look at the artists that have entertained me the most based on number of plays from late 2007 through January 1, 2021.<\/p>\n

We continue today with the next batch of 10 artists, zooming into the 400 and 500 listen territory with reckless abandon.<\/p>\n

#20: Nirvana
\niTunes stats: 374 plays
\nPrevious ranking: #20<\/a><\/p>\n

The 7 time Grammy nominees, and one time winner, stay even on the charts thanks to 163 new listens.<\/p>\n

#19: The Lonely Island
\niTunes stats: 375 plays
\nPrevious ranking: #14<\/a><\/p>\n

The comedy troupe sees a 5 spot drop after increasing their listens by a scant 38%.<\/p>\n

#18: R.E.M.
\niTunes stats: 388 plays
\nPrevious ranking: #22<\/a><\/p>\n

The 2007 inductees into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nearly doubled their plays over the past 4 years, enabling them to jump 4 spots.<\/p>\n

#17: Bon Jovi
\niTunes stats: 391 plays
\nPrevious ranking: #19<\/a><\/p>\n

The boys from New Jersey have racked up 177 new listens to raise 2 slots in the rankings.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>#16: Elvis Presley
\niTunes stats: 300 plays
\nPrevious ranking: #26<\/a><\/p>\n

The King of Rock & Roll adds 173 plays to his total from 4 years ago and leaps 10 spots in the rankings.<\/p>\n

#15: Alanis Morissette
\niTunes stats: 415 plays
\nPrevious ranking: #21<\/a><\/p>\n

The former You Can’t Do That On Television<\/em> star, who I saw in 1996 at the New World Music Theater<\/a>, added 207 new listens to jump up 6 spots in the rankings.<\/p>\n

#14: Poison
\niTunes stats: 449 plays
\nPrevious ranking: #16<\/a><\/p>\n

The\u00a0quintessential glam rock band, who I was supposed to see in concert after winning a radio contest before bassist Bobby Dall broke his hand, added 206 additional plays to rise 2 slots.<\/p>\n

#13: Mexican Cheerleader
\niTunes stats: 506 plays
\nPrevious ranking: #12<\/a><\/p>\n

A 68% increase in listens for the local band headed up by the guy who use to sit across from me at work causes them to drop 1 spot.<\/p>\n

#12: Aerosmith
\niTunes stats: 516 plays
\nPrevious ranking: #13<\/a><\/p>\n

Thanks to 30 tunes in my collection, the Toxic Twins and their bandmates, who I saw in concert<\/a> all the way back in 1994, added 238 new plays over the last 4 years.<\/p>\n

#11: Def Leppard
\niTunes stats: 526 plays
\nPrevious ranking: #15<\/a><\/p>\n
