\"\"<\/a>It’s been 4 years since we last counted down the Top 200 artists in my iTunes library.\u00a0 Since my iTunes stats are still intact, across multiple PCs, iPods, iPads, and iPhones, I figured it was time to take another look at the artists that have entertained me the most based on number of plays from late 2007 through January 1, 2021.<\/p>\n

We continue today with the next batch of 10 artists, with the 2 tied for 79th place followed by the single artists at 78th through 71st.<\/p>\n

#79: Britney Spears
\niTunes stats: 109 plays
\nPrevious ranking: #71<\/a><\/p>\n

The Grammy Award winner (surprised you there, didn’t I) sees a 79% increase in plays over the past 4 years while dropping 8 spots.<\/p>\n

#79: Bush
\niTunes stats: 109 plays
\nPrevious ranking: #69<\/a><\/p>\n

The winners of the American Music Award for Favorite Alternative Group in 1998, who I saw in concert<\/a> back in 1996, picked up 46 additional listens while dropping 10 slots on the list.<\/p>\n

#78: P.O.D.
\niTunes stats: 112 plays
\nPrevious ranking: #48<\/a><\/p>\n

A big 30 spot drop for the band responsible for the entrance music for former White Sox closer Bobby Jenks.<\/p>\n

\niTunes stats: 114 plays
\nPrevious ranking: #81<\/a><\/p>\n

Doubling her previous total enables the singer I’ve seen in concert<\/a> twice<\/a> to move up 4 spots on the chart.<\/p>\n

#76: The Beastie Boys
\niTunes stats: 115 plays
\nPrevious ranking: #84<\/a><\/p>\n

59 new listens in the last 4 years bumps the Beastie Boys up 8 spots in the rankings.<\/p>\n

#75: U2
\niTunes stats: 116 plays
\nPrevious ranking: #93<\/a><\/p>\n

The most decorated Grammy winning band in history posts a 132% increase, jumping 18 slots in the process.<\/p>\n

#74: Salt-N-Pepa
\niTunes stats: 119 plays
\nPrevious ranking: #91<\/a><\/p>\n

The first ladies of rap add 66 new listens to the 7 tunes in my collection while rising 17 spots on the chart.<\/p>\n

#73: Oblivion
\niTunes stats: 121 plays
\nPrevious ranking: #97<\/a><\/p>\n

The local punk band, fronted by a former co-worker, added 75 new listens to the 10 tracks from their final album to make up this total, the largest increase to date.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>#72: Barenaked Ladies
\niTunes stats: 122 plays
\nPrevious ranking: #61<\/a><\/p>\n

Only 48 additional listens for the band I saw at the IBM Think<\/a> conference in Vegas back in 2018 causes them to drop 11 spots on the chart.<\/p>\n

#71: DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince
\niTunes stats: 125 plays
\nPrevious ranking: #68<\/a><\/p>\n
