sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 268px) 100vw, 268px\" \/><\/a>It&#8217;s been 4 years since we last counted down the Top 200 artists in my iTunes library.\u00a0 Since my iTunes stats are still intact, across multiple PCs, iPods, iPads, and iPhones, I figured it was time to take another look at the artists that have entertained me the most based on number of plays from late 2007 through January 1, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Today, we begin with 10 artists, 4 tied for 197th place, 3 tied for 194th, and the first 4 tied for 188th.\u00a0 4 of these bands and\/or performers are newcomers to this list.<\/p>\n<p>#197:\u00a0OutKast<br \/>\niTunes stats: 44 plays<br \/>\nPrevious ranking: <a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/2017\/01\/itunes-top-200-artists-167-179\/\">#167<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A slight increase of only 17 plays over 4 years drops the hip hop duo from Atlanta down 31 spots in the rankings.<\/p>\n<p>#197:\u00a0The Juliana Hatfield\u00a0Three<br \/>\niTunes stats: 44 plays<br \/>\nPrevious ranking: <a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/2017\/01\/itunes-top-200-artists-185-194\/\">#185<\/a><\/p>\n<p>After breaking up with the Blake Babies, Juliana Hatfield put together this band before going solo, which drops 13 places after garnering only 19 new listens across its 2 tracks, including one from the <em>Reality Bites<\/em> soundtrack.<\/p>\n<p>#197: Mariah Carey<br \/>\niTunes stats: 44 plays<br \/>\nPrevious ranking: N\/A<\/p>\n<p>The icon makes her debut on the strength of 3 songs, none of which are her wildly successful Christmas classic, which have gone from 16 listens up to 44.<\/p>\n<p>#197:\u00a0Bj\u00f6rk<br \/>\niTunes stats: 44 plays<br \/>\nPrevious ranking: N\/A<\/p>\n<p>The Icelandic chartreuse scratches her way on to the list thanks to 2 solo tracks and 1 live duet with PJ Harvey.<\/p>\n<p>#194:\u00a0Firehouse<br \/>\niTunes stats: 45 plays<br \/>\nPrevious ranking: <a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/2017\/01\/itunes-top-200-artists-179-185\/\">#185<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The glam band, who somehow beat out Alice In Chains and Nirvana for Favorite Heavy Metal\/Hard Rock New Artist at the 1992 American Music Awards, added 20 new listens to the 3 songs that make up their play total.<\/p>\n<p>#194: Fall Out Boy<br \/>\n<!--more-->iTunes stats: 45 plays<br \/>\nPrevious ranking: <a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/2017\/01\/itunes-top-200-artists-167-179\/\">#167<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A 28 slot drop for the local band who really only made it in to my collection due to their one season run as the running-onto-the-field music choice for the White Sox, way back in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>#194: Three Dog Night<br \/>\niTunes stats: 45 plays<br \/>\nPrevious ranking: N\/A<\/p>\n<p>The 2000 inductees into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame make their debut on this chart after more than doubling the amount of plays for the 3 songs I have in my collection.<\/p>\n<p>#188:\u00a0Chicago<br \/>\niTunes stats: 46 plays<br \/>\nPrevious ranking: N\/A<\/p>\n<p>The 10-time Grammy nominees show up on the list for the first time on the strength of 3 tracks, which more than doubled their listens over the past 4 years.<\/p>\n<p>#188:\u00a0Belly<br \/>\niTunes stats: 46 plays<br \/>\nPrevious ranking: <a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/2017\/02\/itunes-top-200-artists-159-167\/\">#167<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The band, formed by former Throwing Muses member Tanya Donelly, drops 12 slots due to only 19 new plays of their 2 songs in my collection.<\/p>\n<p>#188:\u00a0The Cure<br \/>\niTunes stats: 46 plays<br \/>\nPrevious ranking: <a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/2017\/01\/itunes-top-200-artists-179-185\/\">#185<\/a><\/p>\n<p>One of the originators of the Goth Rock scene of the early 80s, The Cure use 2 tracks to make
