7:00<\/strong><\/p>\n

Grey’s Anatomy<\/em> – The medical drama enters its 12th season after a dark 11th season which killed off Patrick Dempsey’s Dr. McDreamy.\u00a0 The show promises a brighter season, so we’ll see what happens.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The show has kept plugging along, despite the loss of Patrick Dempsey.<\/p>\n

The Big Bang Theory<\/em> – The show returns to Thursdays in\u00a0early November, following the midpoint of the NFL season.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

With Leonard and Penny married, Sheldon and Amy back together and moving their relationship forward, and Raj in a committed relationship, the show’s focus has certainly changed considerably since its beginnings.<\/p>\n

Bones<\/em> – The show returns for its 11th season. \u00a0Beyond that, there’s not much to say about the show that hasn’t already been said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

There’s really nothing new to say about this show that hasn’t already been said. \u00a0It is what it is.<\/p>\n

Heroes Reborn<\/em> – NBC’s rebooted Heroes<\/em> show, originally announced 18 months ago, finally makes it to air.\u00a0 I will give this a shot, but I fear it will have a very short leash, given how poorly the original series ended up.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The show wrapped up its run last week, and I’m left wondering what the point was. \u00a0This was not a story that needed to be told, and suffered from some of the same problems as the original.<\/p>\n

7:30<\/strong><\/p>\n

Life In Pieces<\/em> – Assuming I’m still watching this come November, it moves from Monday along with BBT<\/em>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

As I said on Monday, I am not still watching this.<\/p>\n

8:00<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Blacklist<\/em> – James Spader returns for a third season of chewing the scenery.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The status quo has changed, with Liz, finally exonerated, no longer allowed to be a field agent. \u00a0Will this change the chemistry of the show? \u00a0Only time will tell.<\/p>\n

Sleepy Hollow<\/em> – I dropped this midway through the past season when I realized that I was never actually watching the show and instead just playing it in the background while doing other things.\u00a0 I doubt I’ll be going back, considering I still don’t know any characters name beyond Ichabod Crane.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A crossover with Bones<\/em> brought me back for a week, but that was it.<\/p>\n

9:00<\/strong><\/p>\n

Elementary<\/em> – Sherlock and Watson return for a\u00a0fourth season of helping the NYPD solve their cases, this time with John Noble as Sherlock’s father.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The show continues to impress with its version of the classic character.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

How To Get Away With Murder<\/em> – Last season ended with multiple murders and many people trying to get away with them.\u00a0 I can easily see this going off the rails at some point.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Those rails are hard to find at this point. \u00a0It is still vaguely entertaining, but is close to losing its mind.<\/p>\n

Now, here are the new shows I’ll be checking out on Thursdays:<\/p>\n

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow<\/em> – A group of barely known heroes join together to fight Vandal Savage across time. \u00a0The first episode was kind of blah, so hopefully it picks up.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
