\"itunes_image\"<\/a>I recently came across an iTunes Music Library XML file from an old computer that covered some time frame between 2003 and 2007.\u00a0 I thought it would be interesting to take a look at the 785 songs I had listened to in that timeframe and, eventually, incorporate some of those numbers into my current library.<\/p>\n

Today, we will look at the top 10 albums, in terms of total listens, from this iTunes library. \u00a0My initial observations are, again,\u00a0that these totals are completely out of whack. \u00a0When I last looked at the album totals for my current library, Bon Jovi’s greatest hits collection came in at #60, with only\u00a06 more plays than they have here, where they are by far the leaders.\u00a0 So, without further ado:<\/p>\n

#1: Bon Jovi – Cross Road<\/em>
\niTunes stats: 48 plays
\nAn abnormally\u00a0large total for the first greatest hits package from the boys from New Jersey<\/p>\n

#2: The Cast of Buffy The Vampire Slayer \u2013\u00a0<\/span>Once More, With Feeling
\n<\/em>iTunes stats: 39 plays
\nThe soundtrack album to the musical episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer<\/em>, which took home\u00a0the top spot last year in my current library, has a strong showing here.<\/p>\n

#3: The Cast of\u00a0Sesame Street\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<\/span>Sesame Street Platinum: All-Time Favorites<\/em>
\niTunes stats: 35 plays
\nThe best tunes from Sesame Street got a lot of plays back when Angelina and Danny were younger, enough to take the third slot here.<\/p>\n

#4:\u00a0Bon Jovi \u2013\u00a0<\/span>VH1 Storytellers<\/em>
\niTunes stats: 25 plays
\nA bootleg album of the band’s performance on the afore-mentioned VH1 Storytellers<\/em>.<\/p>\n

#5:\u00a0Various Artists\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<\/span>Buffy The Vampire Slayer: The Album
\n<\/em>iTunes stats:\u00a018 plays
\nThe soundtrack album to Buffy The Vampire Slayer<\/em> proper makes\u00a0the top\u00a05 after finishing tied for 34th in my current library.<\/p>\n

#6:\u00a0Avril Lavigne\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<\/span>Avril Live: Try To Shut Me Up
\n<\/em>iTunes stats:\u00a015 plays
\nLive versions of Avril’s hits, including a cover of Green Day’s Basket Case<\/em>, place her in the top 10.<\/p>\n

#7:\u00a0Bon Jovi\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<\/span>New Jersey<\/em>
\niTunes stats:\u00a014 plays
\nThe band’s fourth studio album gives them their third entry in this list, which is a little much.<\/p>\n

#8:\u00a0Garbage \u2013\u00a0<\/span>Garbage<\/em>
\niTunes stats: 12 plays
\nThe debut album from Garbage ties for the 8th spot with…<\/p>\n

#8:\u00a0Garbage \u2013\u00a0<\/span>Bleed Like Me
\n<\/em>iTunes stats: 12 plays
\n…their fourth album, which was new at the time.<\/p>\n

#10: Elvis Presley \u2013 Elv1s 30 #1 Hits<\/em>
