Ross Gload"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/rossgload.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-7193\" src=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/rossgload.jpg\" alt=\"rossgload\" width=\"300\" height=\"240\" \/><\/a><strong>Name:<\/strong>\u00a0Ross Gload<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rank:<\/strong>\u00a0184<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position:<\/strong>\u00a01B\/RF<\/p>\n<p><strong>Years With White Sox:<\/strong>\u00a02004-2006<\/p>\n<p>As spring training wound down in 2003, the White Sox acquired Ross Gload from the Rockies in exchange for minor league pitcher Wade Parrish.\u00a0 Gload spent the entire 2003 season in Triple A Charlotte, but made the White Sox roster out of spring training in 2004, backing up Paul Konerko and, prior to his season ending injury, Magglio Ordonez. \u00a0Gload made it into 110 games and finished the year with a .321 batting average. \u00a0Despite the limited playing time, he finished 7th in voting for AL Rookie of the Year.<\/p>\n<p>In 2005, Gload missed time due to shoulder inflammation, which kept him either on the disabled list on in Triple A Charlotte between April 25 and July 22. \u00a0When Frank Thomas went down with a foot injury, Gload was recalled to take his roster spot. \u00a0A little more than a week later, Gload was sent back down when Geoff Blum was acquired from the Padres. \u00a0He rejoined the team when rosters expanded on September 1. \u00a0Gload was left off the playoff roster for all three rounds.<\/p>\n<p>With his shoulder fully healed, Gload returned to the White Sox full time in 2006. \u00a0While his playing time was again limited, he did manage to put up .327 average. \u00a0Following the season, Gload was traded to the Royals in exchange for relief pitcher Andy Sisco.<\/p>\n<p>Gload\u2019s numbers in a White Sox uniform, both for games I attended and overall, were:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Career Batting<\/p>\n<table border=\"1\" cellspacing=\"0\" bgcolor=\"#ffffff\">\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th bgcolor=\"#c0c0c0\"><span style=\"color: #000000;
