My latest desktop computer arrived in late 2007, at which point I transitioned all of my music off of my laptop. 2 iPods, 2 iPhones, and an iPad later, that computer is still my main repository of music, with iTunes updating its stats every time I listen to something.<\/p>\n

Having already gone through cassette tapes and CDs, and digital music, it\u2019s time to roll everything up with the Top 100 artists that I\u2019ve listened to as of 8\/21\/2013, according to iTunes. Today we finally get to the top 10 and the end of this journey.<\/p>\n

#1: The Beatles<\/p>\n

iTunes stats: 665 plays<\/p>\n

The boys from Liverpool used 95 different songs to make up this total. \u00a0The most impressive thing is that the total should be higher, as all of the counts got reset back to zero when the remastered albums came out in 2009 and I deleted all of the old versions and ripped the remastered versions.<\/p>\n

#2: Garbage<\/p>\n

iTunes stats: 614 plays<\/p>\n

I have seen this band live 4 times over the past 11 years, and look forward to doing so again in the future. \u00a0There are 112 songs, many of which are live versions, that made up the total.<\/p>\n

#3: Foo Fighters<\/p>\n

iTunes stats: 425 plays<\/p>\n

Only 39 songs put the Foo Fighters in third place with nobody on their tail. \u00a0I saw the Foo Fighters with Weezer back in 2005 and would love to do so again.<\/p>\n

#4: The Cast Of Buffy The Vampire Slayer<\/p>\n

iTunes stats: 307 plays<\/p>\n

Back in 2001, during the sixth season of Buffy The Vampire Slayer<\/em>, the show produced a musical episode as Buffy and the Scooby Gang battled the musical demon Sweet. \u00a0The following year, the soundtrack was released, and those 21 songs make up this total. \u00a0One of the standouts was Amber Benson, who autographed my copy of the CD at a Wizard World appearance back in 2004.<\/p>\n

#5: Tegan and Sara<\/p>\n

iTunes stats: 274 plays<\/p>\n

An even 50 songs combined to make up this total for the Canadian sisters. \u00a0I saw them live back in 2005, less than a week after the Foo Fighters\/Weezer show and the same day the White Sox won the ALDS against the Red Sox. \u00a0It was a busy week.<\/p>\n

#6: The Lonely Island<\/p>\n

iTunes stats: 202 plays<\/p>\n

The boys who put the SNL Digital Short on the map have only 11 songs to make up this impressive total.<\/p>\n

#7: Mexican Cheerleader<\/p>\n

iTunes stats: 201 plays<\/p>\n

29 songs from the local band headed up by the guy who sits across from me at work is good enough for #7 on our list.<\/p>\n

#8: AC\/DC<\/p>\n

iTunes stats: 196 plays<\/p>\n

18 songs make up the total for the hard rockers, including one that has a tremendous amount of plays due to the White Sox use of it when running out on to the field. \u00a0Meaning they likely would have vaulted a few spaces had the team played better these past few years.<\/p>\n

#9: Pearl Jam<\/p>\n

iTunes stats: 191 plays<\/p>\n

The grunge godfathers surprisingly rank this high thanks to 37 different tunes. \u00a0I spent a good amount of time being burnt out on them after their 90s heyday and am still more likely to skip over them than not.<\/p>\n

#10: Aerosmith<\/p>\n

iTunes stats: 161 plays<\/p>\n

28 songs make up this total for the one time Toxic Twins, who I saw in concert all the way back in 1994.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
