Day 2 of our look at the new fall television season brings us to Mondays.<\/p>\n

7:00<\/strong><\/p>\n

How I Met Your Mother<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 Entering its 9th and final season, the show finally introduced the titular mother in last spring’s finale. \u00a0This entire season will take place over the weekend of Barney and Robin’s wedding, but should have some flashbacks and flashforwards involving the mother.<\/p>\n

Bones<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 Also returning for its 9th season,\u00a0Bones<\/em> starts the year on Mondays but is scheduled to move to Fridays after the World Series. \u00a0Replacing it on Mondays will be<\/p>\n

Almost Human<\/em> – Brought to us by some of the good folks responsible for Fringe<\/em>, I’ll give this a shot, assuming it ever does show up on Mondays.<\/p>\n

8:00<\/strong><\/p>\n

2 Broke Girls<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 Entering its 3rd season, it is time to accept that this show is not going to change. \u00a0It will continue to feature two talented leads and surround them with base racial stereotypes and humor aimed towards the lowest common denominator. \u00a0To this point, the charm of the leads has been enough to overcome bad things about the show. \u00a0At some point, though, that is bound to change.<\/p>\n

Sleepy Hollow<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 The new show takes Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman and brings them from the Revolutionary War to the present day. \u00a0I was not very impressed with the pilot, but I’ll give it a few weeks to see if it improves.<\/p>\n

8:30<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mom<\/em> – Anna Faris moves to television for the first time as a recovering addict who has to deal with an overbearing mother while raising two kids. \u00a0I’ll give it a shot, but I’m not expecting much from it.<\/p>\n

9:00<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hostages<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 Toni Collette and Dylan McDermott team up for this 15-episode series based on an Israeli show. \u00a0I will give this a chance, but, again, I’m not sure how long it will survive.<\/p>\n

The Blacklist<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 NBC brings James Spader back to television and gives him plenty of scenery to chew, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t intrigued. \u00a0Hopefully we get more Alan Shore and less Robert California.<\/p>\n

Castle<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 Heading into its 6th season, the show picks up with Castle having proposed to Beckett, who has just been offered a job in Washington. \u00a0The show has not yet started to show its age, and hopefully it continues to fire on all cylinders.<\/p>\n
