appeared on the Earth.\u00a0 In celebration, we are going to take a look at the year-end\u00a0<em>Billboard<\/em>\u00a0Hot 100 singles chart for each year of my life and see what songs resonated with me at the time and if they continue to do so to this day.<\/p>\n<p>We continue our look back at the music of my lifetime with 1999, the year I turned 25 and Angelina was born.\u00a0 At 33 songs, we see a slight rebound in the Hot 100 that remain familiar to me today for the first time, with 17 of them appearing in my collection in one way or another.<\/p>\n<p>#94: Goo Goo Dolls \u2013 <em>Iris<\/em><br \/>\niTunes stats: 19 plays<\/p>\n<p>Featured on the soundtrack to <em>City of Angels<\/em>, the track debuted, and peaked, at #9 in December of 1998 following the change to allow songs with no commercial single release to chart.<\/p>\n<p>#89: Jay-Z \u2013 <em>Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem)<\/em><br \/>\niTunes stats: 35 plays<\/p>\n<p>Featuring samples and the chorus from the <em>Annie<\/em> song, it reached #15.<\/p>\n<p>#78: Len \u2013 <em>Steal My Sunshine<\/em><br \/>\niTunes stats: 18 plays<\/p>\n<p>The group&#8217;s only charting single in the US, it went to #9<\/p>\n<p>#77: Shania Twain \u2013 <em>Man, I Feel Like a Woman<\/em><br \/>\niTunes stats: 12 plays<\/p>\n<p>The Grammy winner for Best Female Country Vocal Performance in 2000, it topped out at #4 on the Hot Country Singles chart and #23 on the Hot 100.<\/p>\n<p>#70: Sarah McLachlan \u2013 <em>I Will Remember You<\/em><br \/>\niTunes stats: 0 plays<\/p>\n<p>Originally released in 1995, this live version peaked at #14 and earned McLachlan her second Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.<\/p>\n<p>#57: Shania Twain \u2013 <em>From This Moment On<\/em><br \/>\niTunes stats: N\/A<\/p>\n<p>The song reached #4 on the Hot 100, #1 on the Adult Contemporary chart, and #6 on the Hot Country Songs chart.<\/p>\n<p>#54: Jewel \u2013 <em>Hands<\/em><br \/>\niTunes stats: 20 plays<\/p>\n<p>The lead single from the singer&#8217;s sophomore effort, it went to #6.<\/p>\n<p>#53: Will Smith \u2013 <em>Miami<\/em><br \/>\niTunes stats: 1 play<\/p>\n<p>Topping out at #17, the song garnered Smith a VMA for Best Male Video.<\/p>\n<p>#51: Tal Bachman \u2013 <em>She&#8217;s So High<\/em><br \/>\niTunes stats: 28 plays<\/p>\n<p>The debut single from the Canadian 1999 Grammy winner for Best Male Rock Performance, it peaked at #12.<\/p>\n<p>#28: Everlast \u2013 <em>What It&#8217;s Like<\/em><br \/>\niTunes stats: N\/A<\/p>\n<p>The singer&#8217;s lone Top 40 solo hit, it topped the Mainstream Rock chart for a week and the Modern Rock Tracks chart for nine weeks, while reaching #13 on the Hot 100.<\/p>\n<p>#26: Enrique Iglesias \u2013 <em>Bailamos<\/em><br \/>\niTunes stats: N\/A<\/p>\n<p>Found on the <em>Wild Wild West<\/em> soundtrack, the song spent two weeks at #1 in September.<\/p>\n<p>#22: Eagle-Eye Cherry \u2013 <em>Save Tonight<\/em><br
