Since I&#8217;ve far surpassed my &#8220;normal&#8221; reading output the last three years, I thought it would be nice to once again take a deeper dive into those books I&#8217;ve read through the start of October. Since our last check-in, I\u2019ve read an additional 118 books, so there could be some movement over the past two years, but it\u2019s time to take another look and see if my \u201cfavorite\u201d authors have changed much in that time span.\u00a0 We continue today with the five authors I&#8217;ve read seven times, up five since 2021.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Michael Crichton<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The prolific author, who died in 2008, first entered my bookshelf in 1989, when I was assigned to read <em>The Andromeda Strain<\/em> as part of my high school Biology class.\u00a0 He continued to be a big part of my 90s reading, but has only added a single title, <em>Airframe<\/em>, in this century.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/The_Runaway_Jury_John_Grisham.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-3091\" src=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/The_Runaway_Jury_John_Grisham-206x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"206\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/The_Runaway_Jury_John_Grisham-206x300.jpg 206w, http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/The_Runaway_Jury_John_Grisham.jpg 241w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 206px) 100vw, 206px\" \/><\/a>John Grisham<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The former attorney, who I first read in 1993 with his smash hit <em>The Firm<\/em>, returned to my attention after a nine-year absence in 2022 thanks to <em>The Judge&#8217;s List<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jennifer McMahon<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After feeling unimpressed after finishing my first of her works,\u00a0<em>Dismantled<\/em>, in 2010, I eventually gave her another try and she has been a consistent presence ever since.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_11611\" style=\"width: 209px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/harry_potter_deathly_hallows_book.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11611\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-11611\" src=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/harry_potter_deathly_hallows_book-199x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"199\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/harry_potter_deathly_hallows_book-199x300.jpg 199w, http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/harry_potter_deathly_hallows_book.jpg 345w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 199px) 100vw, 199px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-11611\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows &#8211; J.K. Rowling<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>J.K. Rowling<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All seven entries in the Harry Potter series, which I read in 2016, make up Rowling&#8217;s total.\u00a0 She continues to write under a pen name, so she may, one day, end up on this list twice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Riley Sager<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One of my newer favorites, I\u2019ve read all of his novels as they&#8217;ve been released annually since 2017&#8217;s <em>Final Girls<\/em> through this year&#8217;s <em>The Only One Left<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Way back in December of\u00a02011 (and again every other December since), we&#8217;ve taken a look at the authors I have read the most, dating back to high school.
