\"\"<\/a>Way back in December of\u00a02011<\/a> (and again every other December since), we’ve taken a look at the authors I have read the most, dating back to high school.\u00a0 This year, since I’ve far surpassed my reading output of any year on record, I thought it would be nice to take a deeper dive into those books I’ve read through October. Since our last check-in, I\u2019ve read an additional 118 books, so there could be some movement over the past two years, but it\u2019s time to take another look and see if my \u201cfavorite\u201d authors have changed much in that time span.\u00a0 Today, we start things off with the now 41 authors I’ve read twice, an increase of six over two years ago.<\/p>\n

Max Barry<\/strong><\/p>\n

An Australian author, I’ve enjoyed the two novels of his I’ve read, Jennifer Government<\/em> and Company<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Laura Caldwell<\/strong><\/p>\n

I have no idea how I came across the work of this local author, but I must have enjoyed it enough to go back for seconds.\u00a0 Unfortunately, she passed away in 2020.<\/p>\n

Michael Chabon<\/strong><\/p>\n

Winner of the 2001 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay<\/em>, the most recent of the two works of his I’ve read.\u00a0 I have another, Wonder Boys<\/em>, waiting in the to read pile, so he rise up some day.<\/p>\n

Fate Of The Union – Max Allan Collins with Matthew V. Clemens<\/p><\/div>\n

Matthew V. Clemens<\/strong><\/p>\n

The co-author, with Max Allan Collins, of the final two chapters of the Reeder and Rogers trilogy.<\/p>\n

Ernest Cline<\/strong><\/p>\n

The man responsible for both Ready Player One<\/em> and Ready Player Two<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Bill Clinton<\/strong><\/p>\n

The former president has co-written two novels with James Patterson.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Felicia Day<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first author here that I’ve happened to meet in person.<\/p>\n

Cameron Dokey<\/strong><\/p>\n

She makes the list based on two entries in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer<\/em> series.<\/p>\n

Diane Duane<\/strong><\/p>\n

Living in Ireland, she is responsible for a Star Trek: The Next Generation<\/em> book and a Spider-Man novel, of all things.<\/p>\n

Warren Ellis<\/strong><\/p>\n

The comic writer, currently in exile after being called out for abusing women, makes the list thanks to two prose novels.<\/p>\n

David Fisher<\/strong><\/p>\n

The co-writer of Ron Luciano’s two baseball books.<\/p>\n

Veronica Mars: The Thousand Dollar Tan Line – Rob Thomas and Jennifer Graham<\/p><\/div>\n

Jennifer Graham<\/strong><\/p>\n

The co-writer of the two Veronica Mars<\/em> novels that followed the release of the movie.<\/p>\n

Lauren Graham<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Gilmore Girls<\/em> and Parenthood<\/em> actress makes the list thanks to her two memoirs.<\/p>\n

Charles Grant<\/strong><\/p>\n

The author, who died in 2006, of two X-Files<\/em> novels.<\/p>\n

Creator of Hannibal Lecter, I’ve read two of his works, 1981’s Red Dragon<\/em> and 1988’s The Silence of the Lambs<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Erin Hilderbrand<\/strong><\/p>\n

The best-selling author of many novels set on her home island of Nantucket has crossed my path each of the past two years.<\/p>\n

Joe Hill<\/strong><\/p>\n

The son of Stephen King, he will be moving up the list once I read his other works sitting on my Kindle.<\/p>\n

Homer<\/strong><\/p>\n

Like high school students everywhere, I’ve read (or tried to read) both The Iliad<\/em> and The Odyssey<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Jay Johnstone<\/strong><\/p>\n

The former Cub and White Sox outfielder wrote two comical looks at his baseball career that I enjoyed as a youngster.<\/p>\n

Mary Karr<\/strong><\/p>\n

The author of two memoirs that I somehow found in my possession, finally reading them in 2014 and 2015.<\/p>\n

The Memory Watcher – Minka Kent<\/p><\/div>\n

Minka Kent<\/strong><\/p>\n

The author made her mark over the previous two years.<\/p>\n

Laura Lippman<\/strong><\/p>\n

It took five years for Lippman to get the second back to cross my eyes.<\/p>\n

Ron Luciano<\/strong><\/p>\n

A former major league umpire, Luciano wrote many tell-all looks at his career, including his feud with Orioles manager Earl Weaver.<\/p>\n

Melinda Metz<\/strong><\/p>\n

Creator of the series of books that were the source material for two Roswell<\/em> television series.<\/p>\n

Mel Odom<\/strong><\/p>\n

Two Buffy<\/em> novels put him on the list.<\/p>\n

George Orwell<\/strong><\/p>\n

Another one that dates back to high school.<\/p>\n

Another sci-fi author who has penned two of the Buffy<\/em> and\/or Angel<\/em> novels I’ve read.<\/p>\n

The creator of the books that were the inspiration for Bones<\/em>, she should rise up at some point as I have a few of her novels waiting on my Kindle.<\/p>\n

Paul Reiser<\/strong><\/p>\n

The comedian penned two memoirs, Couplehood<\/em> and Babyhood<\/em>, in the mid-nineties during his Mad About You<\/em> heyday.<\/p>\n

I’ve read both offerings from Willingham earlier this year.<\/p>\n

Ginger Zee<\/strong><\/p>\n
