{"id":14030,"date":"2018-11-17T02:13:19","date_gmt":"2018-11-17T08:13:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/?p=14030"},"modified":"2018-11-16T20:37:37","modified_gmt":"2018-11-17T02:37:37","slug":"changes-are-afoot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/2018\/11\/changes-are-afoot\/","title":{"rendered":"Changes Are Afoot"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/NewSeatingChart.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14031\" src=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/NewSeatingChart.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"784\" height=\"658\" srcset=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/NewSeatingChart.png 784w, http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/NewSeatingChart-300x252.png 300w, http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/NewSeatingChart-768x645.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 784px) 100vw, 784px\" \/><\/a>In multiple announcements this week, the Cubs unveiled many changes that will be taking place at Wrigley Field in 2019.\u00a0 First off, a Wednesday release revealed that the seating bowl at Wrigley Field would be completely renumbered.\u00a0 In what is being called a &#8220;more intuitive seat numbering system&#8221;, the upper deck will have new designations, as the previous 400-level seats will now be the 300-level and the 500-level will be the 400-level.\u00a0 In addition, an L or R will be added to the (now) section number to designate whether you are in left field or right field.\u00a0 For example, here is what happens to one of my season ticket seats:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/NewSeats.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14032\" src=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/NewSeats.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"755\" height=\"145\" srcset=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/NewSeats.jpg 755w, http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/NewSeats-300x58.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 755px) 100vw, 755px\" \/><\/a>The next day, the Cubs sent out their renewal invoices for season ticket holders, which included many additional changes to the ballpark experience for next season.\u00a0 First, following the experiment in this past season&#8217;s playoffs, the 2019 season tickets will be electronic only.\u00a0 The team claims that printed tickets, on commemorative stock, will be available following the conclusion of the 2019 season.<\/p>\n<p>A new\u00a0upper level outdoor concourse is scheduled to be completed by Opening Day in left field and in May in right field.\u00a0 The concourse will include new food and beverage offerings, as well as new restrooms.\u00a0 The previous outdoor concourse, behind home plate and under the press box, is being converted into a luxury club and will no longer be accessible to &#8220;regular&#8221;
