The guide would list the two main stars for each movie, and that is a tradition that I\u2019ve carried on in my database ever since. So, given those guidelines, it is time to look at all of the actors that have starred in at least 10 films that I have seen, as of July 1st.<\/p>\n<p>Today, we start with the 22 actors that have starred in 10 movies that I have seen, a big increase from the 14 at this level <a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/2014\/06\/you-ought-to-be-in-10-pictures\/\">3 years ago<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jessica Alba<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There has been no change for Jessica Alba since I saw her in 2010&#8217;s <em>Valentine&#8217;s Day <\/em>in 2011.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dan Aykroyd<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No change in Aykroyd&#8217;s total, with 2002 being the last year I saw one of his starring roles.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kate Beckinsale<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our first new entry, the comely British actress first came to my attention in 1998, when I saw her in both <em>Cold Comfort Farm<\/em> and <em>Last Days of Disco<\/em>.\u00a0 Her heyday was 2006-2008, when I saw her in 4 films over the 3 year span.\u00a0 2010 had been my last experience with her work, until I was coerced into seeing <em>Underworld: Blood Wars<\/em> earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kristen Bell<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <em>Veronica Mars<\/em> star made her first &#8220;big screen&#8221; appearance in my life with the television remake of <em>Reefer Madness<\/em> in 2005.\u00a0 She&#8217;s been a pretty steady presence since, with a 2 year gap in 2015 and 2016 being her largest.\u00a0 <em>The Boss<\/em>, which I saw earlier this year, is my most recent exposure to her.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chevy Chase<\/strong><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>No change for the <em>SNL<\/em> vet, who I last saw in 2009, when I saw 1985&#8217;s <em>Fletch<\/em> for the first time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jennifer Connelly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No change for the lovely Jennifer Connelly, who I last saw 8 years ago in 2008&#8217;s <em>The Day The Earth Stood Still<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Billy Crystal<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No change for the former <em>SNL<\/em> star, who I haven&#8217;t seen in a starring role in 15 years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zooey Deschanel<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Former indie darling Zooey Deschanel remains unchanged, with no new film activity since I saw one of her films in 2011.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leonardo DiCaprio<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One of the biggest stars in the world, DiCaprio first appeared on my movie screen in 1996, with <em>The Basketball Diaries<\/em>.\u00a0 After a three year run to start, I had a gap of 8 years between his films, from 2002-2009.\u00a0 2011 was his most prolific year, with 3 different films.\u00a0 The most recent film of his that I&#8217;ve seen was <em>The Revenant<\/em> in 2016.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aaron Eckhart<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Aaron Eckhart first\u00a0showed up on the list\u00a0of film actors I&#8217;ve seen way back in 1999 with <em>Your Friends &amp; Neighbors<\/em>.\u00a0 Since then, his appearances have been a little haphazard, with nothing more than 3 2-year streaks over the past 18 years.\u00a0 The most recent film of his I&#8217;ve seen was 2016&#8217;s <em>London Has Fallen<\/em>, which I saw last year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Michael J. Fox<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1996 remains the last time that I had a movie experience with Michael J. Fox.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sarah Michelle Gellar<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Television&#8217;s <em>Buffy the Vampire Slayer<\/em> made the jump to the big screen with <em>I Know What You Did Last Summer<\/em> in 1997.\u00a0 She was a pretty steady presence on my screen throughout 2008, where she hit a bit of a dry streak.\u00a0 She reappeared after 7 years in 2015, with 2007&#8217;s <em>Veronika Decides To Die<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mel Gibson<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Hollywood pariah first appeared on my radar with <em>Lethal Weapon 2<\/em>, which I saw at some point in my youth.\u00a0 8 of his films came in or before 2002, when he fell off the radar for a bit.\u00a0 6 and 7 year breaks came between those and the next two films, culminating with <em>Machete Kills<\/em>, which I saw in 2015.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Melissa Joan Hart<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Made-for-TV movies had been\u00a0very good for Melissa Joan Hart, but 2011 remains the last time I&#8217;ve seen her in a film.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jonah Hill<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>First appearing on my screen in 2007 in either <em>Accepted<\/em> or <em>Superbad<\/em>, Jonah Hill has become a pretty standard presence.\u00a0 He put together a pretty impressive 5-year streak, comprising of 7 films between 2010 and 2014.\u00a0 2014&#8217;s <em>22 Jump Street<\/em>, which I saw in 2016, was his last appearance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hugh Jackman<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After replacing Dougray Scott as Wolverine in 2000&#8217;s <em>X-Men<\/em>, Hugh Jackman has been a steady presence on my movie screen.\u00a0 6 of those appearances have been in the X-Men universe, including his last appearance, in 2015 in 2013&#8217;s <em>The Wolverine<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nicole Kidman<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2008 remains the last time I saw one of her films, 2007&#8217;s <em>The Invasion<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mila Kunis<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After years on That 70&#8217;s Show, Mila Kunis first moved to my movie screen in 2003, with the unfortunate\u00a0<em>American Psycho II: All American Girl<\/em>.\u00a0 After a six year break, she came back with a vengeance, appearing in 7 films I saw between 2009 and 2011.\u00a0 I last saw her earlier this year in 2016&#8217;s <em>Bad Moms<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bill Murray<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Former <em>SNL<\/em> star Bill Murray first graced my movie screen in 1984 with the smash hit <em>Ghostbusters<\/em>.\u00a0 He would show up in a new project every few years, most recently in 2014&#8217;s <em>St. Vincent<\/em>, which I saw in 2016.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dennis Quaid<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>His last starring appearance on a screen in front of me continues to be 2008&#8217;s <em>Vantage Point<\/em>, which I saw in 2009.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ben Stiller<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I still last saw Ben Stiller in 2011, when I watched <em>Night At the Museum: Battle Of The Smithsonian.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kate Winslet<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1996 first brought Kate Winslet into my life, thanks to her starring role in <em>Jude<\/em>.\u00a0 She has been pretty consistent since, with multiple films in both 1998 and 2008.\u00a0 My last theatrical experience with her was in 2015, when I watched 2014&#8217;s <em>Labor Day<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Many years ago, using the weekly TV guide that came with the Sunday Chicago Tribune, I started keeping track of all of the movies I had seen over the course of my lifetime.
