float: none;\"> songs make up the total for the hard rockers, including one that has a tremendous amount of plays due to the White Sox use of it when running out on to the field. \u00a0Meaning, they likely would not have dropped 2 slots\u00a0had the team played better these past few years and my victory playlist got a little more action.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>#9:\u00a0Pearl Jam<br \/>\niTunes stats:\u00a0348\u00a0plays<br \/>\nPrevious ranking: <a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/2013\/11\/itunes-top-100-artists-1-10\/\">#9<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The grunge godfathers\u00a0stay even\u00a0despite adding 2 new songs with plays, up to\u00a039, and 157 new listens over the past 3 years. \u00a0I spent a good amount of time being burnt out on them after their 90s heyday, though I am now less likely to skip over them when they come up on the iPhone.<\/p>\n<p>#8:\u00a0The Cast\u00a0of Buffy The Vampire Slayer<br \/>\niTunes stats:\u00a0395\u00a0plays<br \/>\nPrevious ranking: <a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/2013\/11\/itunes-top-100-artists-1-10\/\">#4<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Back in 2001, during the sixth season of <em>Buffy The Vampire Slayer<\/em>, the show produced a musical episode as Buffy and the Scooby Gang battled the musical demon Sweet. \u00a0The following year, the soundtrack was released, and those 21 songs make up this total.\u00a0\u00a0Only 88 additional listens in the last 3 years caused this group to drop\u00a04 slots.<\/p>\n<p>#7:\u00a0Tegan and Sara<br \/>\niTunes stats:\u00a0438\u00a0plays<br \/>\nPrevious ranking: <a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/2013\/11\/itunes-top-100-artists-1-10\/\">#5<\/a><\/p>\n<p>61 songs, up from\u00a050, combined to make up this total for the Canadian sisters. \u00a0164 new listens since 2013 was good enough for a 3 slot drop for the group I saw <a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/2014\/04\/concert-flashback-tegan-sara\/\">live<\/a>\u00a0back in 2005.<\/p>\n<p>#6:\u00a0Patton Oswalt<br \/>\niTunes stats:\u00a0466\u00a0plays<br \/>\nPrevious ranking: <a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/2013\/10\/51-60\/\">#52<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Funnyman Patton Oswalt makes a huge jump of 46 slots, thanks to 416 new listens and the purchase of a few new albums which bumped his &#8220;song&#8221; total to 96.<\/p>\n<p>#5: George Carlin<br \/>\niTunes stats: 507\u00a0plays<br \/>\nPrevious ranking: <a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/2013\/11\/itunes-top-100-artists-21-30\/\">#26<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Purchasing\u00a0a few new albums from the classic comedian, bumping his\u00a0track total from 47 to 116, accounts for this big jump of 20 slots.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/20131201-205308.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-5017 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/20131201-205308-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/20131201-205308-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/20131201-205308-90x90.jpg 90w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>#4: Garfunkel and Oates<!--more--><br \/>\niTunes stats: 523\u00a0plays<br \/>\nPrevious ranking: <a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/2013\/11\/itunes-top-100-artists-11-20\/\">#11<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A new album and 2 <a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/2014\/05\/concert-flashback-garfunkel-oates\/\">concert<\/a> appearances have greatly increased the total for this duo, who jump up 6 slots with 367 additional listens.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/FooFighters.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-8656\" src=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/FooFighters-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>#3:\u00a0Foo Fighters<br \/>\niTunes stats: 668\u00a0plays<br \/>\nPrevious ranking: <a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/2013\/11\/itunes-top-100-artists-1-10\/\">#3<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Only\u00a046 songs, up from 39 thanks to a new album,\u00a0put the Foo Fighters in third place with nobody on their tail. \u00a0I saw the Foo Fighters for a second time\u00a02 summers ago at <a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/2015\/08\/fighting-foo\/\">Wrigley Field<\/a>\u00a0and would love to do so again.<\/p>\n<p>#2:\u00a0The Beatles<br \/>\niTunes stats: 1042\u00a0plays<br \/>\nPrevious ranking: <a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/2013\/11\/itunes-top-100-artists-1-10\/\">#1<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The boys from Liverpool used 99 different songs, up\u00a04 from 2013,\u00a0to make up this total, which dropped them down a slot. \u00a0They most likely would have held the top spot had\u00a0all of their counts not been\u00a0reset back to zero when the remastered versions of their albums came out in 2009.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/GarbageS07.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-883\" src=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/GarbageS07-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/GarbageS07-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/GarbageS07-90x90.jpg 90w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>#1:\u00a0Garbage<br \/>\niTunes stats: 1119\u00a0plays<br \/>\nPrevious ranking: <a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/2013\/11\/itunes-top-100-artists-1-10\/\">#2<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #404040;
