The medical drama enters its 13th season, with the last 8 episodes of season 12 still sitting on the DVR waiting to be watched. \u00a0Since I don&#8217;t know how last season ended, I&#8217;ve avoided looking at what lies ahead this year.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Surprisingly still watchable here in season 13.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>The Big Bang Theory<\/em> &#8211; The show returns to Thursdays in late October, following the midpoint of the NFL season.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The show has focused on personal growth this year, with Sheldon and Amy moving in together and Bernadette and Howard having a baby, opening up new avenues for comedy.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>DC&#8217;s Legends Of Tomorrow<\/i> &#8211; The grouping of DC&#8217;s also-rans returns for its second season, with a promised appearance from the Legion of Doom.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The show is moving to Tuesdays with their revamped team lineup.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7:30<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>The Great Indoors<\/em>\u00a0&#8211; Former <em>Community<\/em> star Joel McHale returns to network TV with this comedy about the new generation gap in the workplace.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Well, I had planned on trying this, thanks to Joel McHale.\u00a0 Sadly, I never got around to it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>8:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>Pitch<\/em>\u00a0&#8211; Strangely, I don&#8217;t usually enjoy movies or TV shows about baseball despite loving the sport in real life, which means I don&#8217;t know if I&#8217;ll get in to this tale of the first female professional baseball player. \u00a0Having Gregg Olson and Chad Kreuter on board as technical advisers certainly can&#8217;t hurt.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The first season has come and gone and it went surprisingly well.\u00a0 I&#8217;m hoping for a second season.<\/p>\n<p><strong>9:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>The Good Place<\/i> &#8211; Kristen Bell stars as a new arrival to the afterlife in this new comedy from the creator of <em>Parks and Rec.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>A big swerve at the end of season 1 leaves me wanting a second season.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>How To Get Away With Murder<\/em> &#8211; Coming in to last season, I said that I could easily see this show going off the rails at some point. \u00a0And that it did. \u00a0We&#8217;ll see if they can rein in some of the excesses that made it difficult to get through last year.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The early part of the season managed to rein in some of the excesses that went wrong the year before.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s hoping they can keep it up.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>The Blacklist<\/em> &#8211; Speaking of a show going off the rails. \u00a0I honestly have no idea what happened on this show last year, where the main character got kicked out of the FBI for good and then faked her death before returning in the finale. \u00a0It might be time to think about bailing on this one, no matter how entertaining James Spader may be.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Well, they&#8217;ve managed to fix some of the issues from last year, with Liz back as an agent with the FBI, but the sheen may have been worn off for too long.<\/p>\n<p>Now let&#8217;s look at what&#8217;s new on Thursdays this spring:<\/p>\n<p><em>Riverdale<\/em> &#8211; If you&#8217;ve ever wondered what would happen if you crossed Archie comics with The CW, this is the show for you.<\/p>\n<p><em>Powerless<\/em> &#8211; NBC enters the superhero biz with this show featuring favorites like Danny Pudi and Ron Funches.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Time for our look back at Thursday nights, which has traditionally been the busiest night of the week for my television viewing habits. 7:00 Grey&#8217;s Anatomy &#8211;
