\"old-tv-set1\"<\/a>Day 2 of our look back<\/a> at my thoughts on the new fall television season and what is new for the winter and spring..<\/p>\n

7:00<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Big Bang Theory<\/em> – Once again, The Big Bang Theory<\/em> moves back to Mondays until late October to accommodate the NFL. \u00a0The show continues to be a ratings powerhouse, so\u00a0I assume\u00a0the move won’t shake things up too much.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I’ll save my comments for Thursday.<\/p>\n

Supergirl<\/i><\/em> – Despite a successful first season, CBS jettisoned the show and now the second season will air on The CW.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Moving to The CW seems to be working out for Supergirl.\u00a0 So far we’ve seen appearances from Superman, Maggie Sawyer, and the Flash.<\/p>\n

Gotham<\/em> – I still have the last 9 episodes of season 2 sitting on the DVR, so things don’t look that great for my continued interest in Gotham<\/em> this year. \u00a0But, you never know.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The backlog has grown to include those 9 season 2 episodes and all of season 3 to date.\u00a0 I need to make a decision soon as to whether or not to cut bait.<\/p>\n

7:30<\/strong><\/p>\n

Man With A Plan<\/i>\u00a0–\u00a0Matt LeBlanc returns to network television in this comedy about a contractor who takes more responsibility at home after his wife returns to work. \u00a0It should be worth at least a shot.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

One episode of this piece of garbage was more than enough.<\/p>\n

8:00<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jane The Virgin<\/em> – At this time last year, I was worried that this show would be a one-season wonder and that I would tire of the telenovela aspect of the show. \u00a0Those worries turned out to be unfounded, as the show continued to be a solid, entertaining watch. \u00a0I’m expecting more of the same this year.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

My expectations have been met, as I continue to enjoy the now mistitled show.<\/p>\n

2 Broke Girls<\/em> – A 6th season for this crass show that has never been as good as it should be, given the talents of the leads.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This year has been more of the same.\u00a0 It’s a shame to waste the talents of the two likeable leads on such a mess of a show.<\/p>\n

9:00<\/strong><\/p>\n

Timeless<\/em>\u00a0– A trio of time travelers try to stop a villain from rewriting history. \u00a0Sounds ridiculous, but I may give it a shot.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This turned out to be fairly entertaining, showing not just the excitement but also the consequences of time traveling.<\/p>\n

Conviction<\/em>\u00a0– Hayley Atwell returns to ABC as a former First Daughter who now leads a team investigating wrongful incarcerations. \u00a0Hopefully, Atwell’s charms overcome what seems like a shoddy premise.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The show has been shifted to Sundays for the spring.\u00a0 I wouldn’t call it good, but Hayley Atwell continues to be a draw.<\/p>\n

Now for the new shows premiering on Mondays this winter\/spring:<\/p>\n

24: Legacy<\/em> – A new cast of characters picks up the mantle left behind by Jack Bauer and company.<\/p>\n
