{"id":11644,"date":"2017-01-22T08:34:07","date_gmt":"2017-01-22T14:34:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/?p=11644"},"modified":"2017-01-21T19:34:21","modified_gmt":"2017-01-22T01:34:21","slug":"midseason-review-sundays-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/2017\/01\/midseason-review-sundays-6\/","title":{"rendered":"Midseason Review \u2013 Sundays"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/old-tv-set1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-2460\" src=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/old-tv-set1.jpg\" alt=\"old-tv-set1\" width=\"315\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/old-tv-set1.jpg 315w, http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/old-tv-set1-300x214.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 315px) 100vw, 315px\" \/><\/a>With the advent of winter premieres, the start of the premium cable network shows,\u00a0and with February sweeps around the corner, it\u2019s time to revisit my thoughts from the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/learningturkey.com\/blog\/2016\/09\/2016-new-fall-season-sundays\/\">beginning<\/a>\u00a0of the season and look ahead at what\u2019s to come for Sunday nights.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>Once Upon A Time<\/em> &#8211; The fairy tale show is back for season 6, with a refocusing on life in Storybrooke.\u00a0 With little else in competition, I see no reason not to continue turning in.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Nothing really to say about the show. \u00a0I&#8217;m still watching, but not really enthused.<\/p>\n<p><strong>8:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>Shameless<\/em>\u00a0&#8211; Season 7 of the show finds Fiona running the diner and on her own as the fallout from last season&#8217;s finale.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The season wrapped up in December with things starting to look up for most members of the Gallagher clan. \u00a0Which can only mean that season 8 will tear them all down again.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>The Walking Dead<\/em> &#8211; After a disappointing season finale where producers failed to deliver on the long-promised plot point of who would be killed by the new character Negan, the show has some work to do to regain the trust of the audience.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>To be honest, the big reveal of who Negan killed at the end of last season was so anti-climatic, that I kind of loss interest in the whole thing. \u00a0I have 6 episodes sitting on the DVR waiting to be watched. \u00a0I can&#8217;t say right now if I ever will.<\/p>\n<p><strong>9:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>Quantico <\/em>&#8211; After a strong first season that started to fizzle towards the end, the show gets rebooted somewhat with the CIA replacing the FBI and a promised reduction in the soapy elements that plagued season 1.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I must admit, a bit of the magic from season 1 has been lost. \u00a0I let a number of episodes pile up and, when I did binge through them, I can&#8217;t say I didn&#8217;t enjoy them. \u00a0But watching week to week leaves a little to be desired. \u00a0The show is moving to Mondays starting tomorrow.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>Elementary<\/em> &#8211; Sherlock and Watson return for their 5th season of crime solving alongside the NYPD.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Nothing too exceptional here. \u00a0The show is enjoyable, but not extraordinary.<!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>The Affair<\/em> &#8211; A time jump ahead to a new mystery lies ahead in the 3rd season. \u00a0Not sure if I like the sound of that, but what are you going to do?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I&#8217;m not sure if I like this show. \u00a0I&#8217;m not sure if I ever liked this show.<\/p>\n<p>So that\u2019s where we stand with the shows I planned to watch in the fall.
