Ellis Burks joined the White Sox in January of 1993, signing a one year deal as a free agent. \u00a0After years of injuries and declining performances, Burks bounced back for his best season in years, hitting .275 with 17 home runs and 74 RBIs. \u00a0He appeared in 146 games, his highest total since 1990.<\/p>\n

In the ALCS against the Blue Jays, Burks was one of the more productive members of the White Sox offense. \u00a0Appearing in all 6 games, he hit .304 with a home run.<\/p>\n

Following the season, Burks left as a free agent.<\/p>\n
